summer smiles and sighs

summer was
tomatoes, peppers, beans, squash
blackberry sonker, salsa, chocolate cake
books
beaches
time with husband
brothers, sisters and parents and sons
dog-dog-doggie, kitty, chickens
and
dad to assisted living
mom back to chemo
school change, church change
and
summer was
smiles
and
sighs
and
god's holy way
and
saying goodbye to her this time
hurts
