fast melts

jack has these
benadryl fast melts -
slightly tasty
little tablets
that reduce allergy symptoms
what if i had
anti-foolishness fast melts -
slightly tasty
little tablets
that reduce dullard-like symptoms?
when a situation
arises that requires
i could pop one in
and within mere seconds
dispense just what
the listener needs

but it's there,
this anti-foolishness fast melt:

God gave Solomon
and very great insight,
and a breadth of understanding
as measureless
as the sand on the seashore.

I Kings 4:29

  1. Ooh. James 1:5 comes to mind. I could use a fast melt also.

  2. Bring on the fast melts...how I long to be wise.

    Beautifully written Kendal!

  3. The sweetness of scripture distills like dew upon my senses - rather like a fast melt upon the tongue. Your post is so incredibly insightful and arrived at the perfect time for me. Post stroke aging dulls the memories and my senses. It is good to remember that God can restore what was lost. I needed this today. Thank you for linking up with Tuesdays Unwrapped. I think I'll add your blog to my Reader - I expect that I will be amply blessed.

  4. I need some of those. Pass them here, please. :)

  5. It's like those breath mints pastors pop before opening up the altar for prayer. We all need a little extra dose of wisdom to help us in those moments. :) Haha!

  6. So wow, this is the first of your poetry that I have read. You are good! I love how you took something from your life, connected it with the Bible, and made it so real. Oh, and I'm interested in several packs of the anti-foolishness fast melts.

  7. I think you have a quick-witted fast melt stash somewhere because I loved that post!

  8. Can you send some of those melts down this way please?

  9. Oh to have some of those for real. I know I have the wisdom its just that the words to share it often don't dome until days later.

  10. Ooh. James 1:5 comes to mind. I could use a fast melt also.
