goodness

dishes stretch from
sink to toaster
turkey and dumplings
crusted in the bowls
and
i don't care
because dirty dishes mean love
 my sibs trekked up to
my little cabin in the woods
last night
for something new
for something joyful
in typical chaotic
Finley Fashion
we prepared boxes
for children in uganda
my sibs trekked up to
my little cabin in the woods
last night
for something new
for something joyful
and
it was what we needed

    John 13:34-35
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

  3. Kendal,
Loved this idea of having everyone celebrate you and your husband by celebrating children you don't even know. I'm putting a link to this up now!

Oh and speaking of OCC, I will be headed to Boone on the 6th with a group of kids from my school to work at the warehouse up that way.

  4. An awesome new Thanksgiving tradition! The kids and I did Operation Christmas child boxes for the first time this year, too.. It was a great experience for all of us.

And the thought of a little cabin in the woods -- oh my that sounds appealing!

  8. This is near and dear to our hearts. Packing, working in the warehouse and then a few years ago, my daughter was able to distribute them in Botswana. Full circle. We love it. What a great tradition to begin.
