hey, sister

my sister said this today:
i saw myself in the mirror at work
gray hairs were sticking up
i was wearing a
black cowl neck sweater
i realized that the only thing
separating me from the
crazy old lady professors
is that i'm not covered in
cat hair

and i told her about:
feeling incredibly sore from
hula-hooping on Wii Fit
and
slamming into my dresser
with my knee and face
yesterday morning

she is my twin
and
a gift
and
i wish i could see her
every
day

  3. I didn't know you had a twin! Are you two looking at JCPenny catalogues? I used to pretend I was sick just to circle items on my Christmas list from JCPenny.

  4. And here's my version, " I glance in the mirror and see frizzy, curly, gray hair sticking up everywhere, laugh lines and crow's feet. And I realize that I look exactly like Margaret. Sometimes I forget that there is another me."

  10. Hi Kendal, I dropped by to say hello, after reading your comment on Laura's site. I was surprised to see that you are a twin, because I have a twin sister too. And we live in NC. It's the first time I've visited your site, but will try to drop by more often. ~Stephanie
