alpha

my favorite christmas passage is this one from john. i'm going to organize it into a poem. because it is.

in the beginning was the
Word
and the Word
was with God
and the Word
was God.
he was with God
in the beginning
through him all things were
made
without him
nothing was made
that has been made
in him was
life
and that
life
was the
light
of all mankind
the light
shines in the darkness
and the darkness
has not overcome it.

the most profound
thanks
i could utter
is
not
enough

  8. when you put it this way, in this poetic way, there is such triumph in the final words, such oomph. i join you in uttering humble thanks, dear kendal. thank you for drawing me to him. (just so you know, this was the final imperfect prose until the new year. merry christmas!)

  9. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us...This is one of my favorite passages in the Bible. I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees poetry in Scripture. I think this is why I love to read Isaiah--he writes in poetry, like how I hear God speak to me in my spirit. Thank you! Many blessings.

  12. Kendel this was amazing. I love you used the verse. We sometimes take for granted verses until we truly look at them another way. Thank you for allowing us to see this through your eyes and thanks for linking up with Caffeinated Randomness.
