my dog, moses
has a teensie problem with
wanderlust
(is it in his name?)
today i thought he was gone
the not-coming-home kind
i got a little weepy
and
tried to remember key
forgiveness verses
to use on a certain
son-who-didn't-watch-him
my husband asked
why do you love this dog so much?
my answer?
because he loves me so much
and sister,
that
will
preach
*he's home (the dog. well, the son, too. i didn't kick him out.)

We have a border collie too. He will do stuff to drive us nuts, but he is a sweet dog that is very eager to please us. Plus he is funny (his stand-up routine is killer), loves to run with us, and has run off coyotes. So yeah, he's a keeper.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how He uses such seemingly mundane things - like a dog or a plant - to teach us such vast lessons!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dog. I would miss it too if it was in my family.
ReplyDeleteMakes me miss my dog even more. He's a beauty, that fella of yours.

Oh friend, I love that your heart for yours mirrors mine for our three. The thought of loss, it breaks. Oh and your sweet forgiveness sings a sweet sweet song.
ReplyDeleteNothing like the unconditional love of a pet. How can we not love them when they love us all the time, every day! So glad he came home.
ReplyDeleteYou always do such a fine job of saying so much with such few words. That is a gift, you know?
