lesson from the mundane. again.

i lost my
dog
dog
doggie
moses
on wednesday morning
and
even though i was certain
he
was
dead,
tangled in brush or fence,
i searched
one
more
time
on saturday
and
when i found him
(alive!)
tangled in barbed wire
i was
ridiculously overjoyed
i've never been convinced
of death
only to be surprised
by life
so i would like to thank the
hillman solid brass round swivel quick snap
(its failure to secure my dog, really)
for
connecting me to the first-followers'
unfathomable
joy
upon finding Jesus
alive
and this lesson from the mundane
is
Easter's
hallelujah

what have you learned of Jesus in the mundane?

  2. So glad you found your dog! I'm sure he was equally as glad to see you. :) "Easter's
    hallelujah"--love this.

  3. Oh, Kendal, your words always amaze me. What a powerful parallel to our Saviour's being found alive. Indeed.

  4. I love the way some moments and experiences just open wide the door to a deeper experience of something we understood before, but not fully. Love the picture of your dog running. Happy Easter, friend!

  5. Oh, I prayed you would find your dog!! I am so grateful you did and I LOVE how you told this story of finding him and the connection to the disciples. So grateful you are a part of SDG!

  6. Oh praise the Lord!! What a great connection (and I really don't think it is mundane. More like miraculous!)

I am finding Jesus in my mundane with my husband back from Army Ranger School (tab intact) and we are just eating/sleeping/existing in the same zip code again. HOORAY!
