if you could have one
super power
what would it be?
when i was
young i wanted to
fly
i spent hours envisioning
the view from
above
how quickly i could
get to the pool
or beth's house
as a mom
i have wished
on several occasions
to have x-ray vision
you know
to save trips to the emergency room
chris and i recently
sat at dinner with two
lovely ladies -
one near eighty
the other ninety-two -
and i posed the super power question
thought i might get
a laugh
a discussion
both, in wisdom and love,
said
healing
solomon son of david
knew what to say when
god asked him the super power question,
ask for whatever you want me to give you
solomon didn't ask for
flying lessons or
x-ray vision
give me wisdom and knowledge
the new super power i want?
i want to know for what to
ask
