where two or three come together
A couple of weeks ago I went camping with my Dominican Republic mission team. Chris blindfolded us and took us hiking. Tomorrow and Saturday we're going to walk again, only this time we'll be able to SEE! We’re going to take shifts and walk for twenty-four hours beginning Friday night at 8:00. For each mile we walk, we’ll each pray for a specific prayer concern. Please let me know your requests so the team can lift them up in prayer. You may comment on the blog, at Facebook, message me at Facebook or send me an email (kendalprivette@yahoo.com). If you’re in Wilkes, come and walk with us for a little while! We’ll be at the track behind the YMCA.

WOW. 24 hours?? I can't imagine. Thank goodness you just have to go around in a circle! :) I hope it is a wonderful opportunity for you & those youth to see God work.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait! :]
ReplyDeletePlease pray for the freedom of human beings all around the world.
ReplyDelete27 million slaves exist in the world today. Of the 27 million, at least 15 million are bonded slaves in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal. 1 million children are forced today to sell their bodies to sexual exploiters. Where I live, Cambodia, it was ranked in 2006 as one of the worst countries in the world for human trafficking. (All stats taken from "Not For Sale" by David Batstone, 2007).
I wrote a few poems on my blog on how I am experiencing the darkness here related to child labor, poverty, and sexual exploitation.
Please pray that ordinary people like me would pray more and join in the struggle for human freedom, that we would have compassion like Jesus, and that we would not loose sight in the midst of severe darkness. Where I live, less than 5% of the population are Christian. Pray that more people would join the fight against the demonic forces prevalent today. Pray against complacency in my own heart. I want to be fire hot against the evil in my neighborhood and in the world, not lukewarm!
Thank you for fighting in the spiritual battle, in Christ' powerful name. Put on the armor of God every day. Satan hates what you are doing and everything you stand for.
I will pray for you too,
jen

ReplyDeleteAnd I'd love prayer for my son who is going into surgery next week. After losing my husband due to medical mishap 2 years ago (and him still suffering as the result) - we are understandably tentative around here.
Bless you!
Cate
Sorry, that should be NEARLY losing my husband!
