so scary sometimes
to move on
when we've dug in our heels
but that's not the life
god intended for us
jesus said
i came so that everyone
would have life,
and
have it in its fullest.
a new jars of clay song (eyes wide open) says
so god bruise the heels we've dug in the ground
that we might move closer to love
pull out the roots we've dug in so deep
finish what you've started
help us to believe
i'm praying specifically
for a friend today
who knows she's balking
but doesn't want to move
and linking up with imperfect prose on thursdays
i pray as well that they move...if that is His will...smiles.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, the balk is the pause God intends, because He needs to reveal how far His love reaches. It takes time sometimes for the love to dispel the fear.
ReplyDeletePray - and love as He does.

ReplyDeleteOhhh, what a special friend you are to your balking one . . . we all need friends like you, who share the truth in love.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing . . .
It's my first time visiting you, and joining Imperfect Prose.
I know the balking stance. It's not pretty. You are a good friend to pray for her during this time.
ReplyDeleteoh, i felt that! i've been balking recently, too scared to move.
ReplyDeleteI've been that person before (a lot), balking but knowing I don't want to me. It's a tough space. God is with her nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteOh I know what it is to baulk! Praying that God will give her the strength to move on in His time.
ReplyDeleteI bet your friend really appreciates you.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. Truly beautiful. Glad I found you.
