upon a sunday (reunion)

knapsack of treasures
open on the floorboard
handwoven cloth
and
a soccer jersey
marble chess pieces
and
a wooden horse
all smelling of another world
my husband
my missionary husband
is home from guatemala

 

and for these i am also thankful:

220. visiting an old friend with a new friend

222. nana-cooked welcome-home meals
223. hank's songs. yes. he writes them.
224. jack looking over his dad's shoulder at pictures
225. reading glasses. my first pair. glad they exist.
