speaking of wycliffe and treasure
my girl, the one i mentor,
beside me on the pew
my son, jack,
sharing a hymnal with me
karrie's baby girl, addie,
sleeping on my lap
son, hank, across town
playing lead guitar
at a church plant
and
i am so full
i am close to undone
for where your treasure
is
there your heart
will be
also
and for these i am thankful-
343. rain that kept us home from soccer for a day
344. fun for my students at a block party
345. husband who volunteered to help at the block party
346. hot peppers and new recipes
347. messy kitchen
348. a new writing opportunity for me

ReplyDeleteLove your reflections...God bless your week!
Ok, so I don't think I knew that Karrie's baby was named Addie (LOVE that name. Would have a third baby and name her Addie in a split second!) and sometimes I forget you two know each other in real-life. Fun.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a beautiful thing when you can witness your hubby faithfully serving God?
ReplyDeleteyou have a lovely way with words. thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteyou have great treasures this week ... and I didn't know you were a pastor's wife - I'm fond of those, my mother is one. (also looking forward to reading your words at the new teacher's site!)
ReplyDeleteThat so much joy could be squeezed into a single hour -- treasures indeed.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful list, Kendal.
This is a beautiful list. So full.
ReplyDeleteOh, girl, you have so much treasure! Beautiful joy this morning. Makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Hear it on Sunday. What a blessing God has given you in your family. May He continue to bless you beyond understanding!

I can see from this list that you treasure what you should. Beautiful words.
ReplyDeleteCame over from Ann's today. Blessings to you!
Found you at Ann's place...what a great list. Messy kitchen...I like that and I might have to borrow that blessing!!

This made me smile, kendall-- particularly missing the soccar game. hugs to you today!
ReplyDeleteYou expressed what I felt like Sunday: Husband leading worship
ReplyDelete1 daughter on the organ
1 daughter leading the children's chorus
3 grands quoting Scripture and singing a go-along song
I was overwhelmed. Then they all gathered around our table for dinner. a day filled with joy -- just like I read in your writing. What would we do without the blessing of Sabbath?
I'm praying God will equally bless your week.
Beautiful! Your heart is so full - isn't it?

Where your heart is your treasure lies...sounds like your heart is full indeed and what a beautiful thing it is! <3
ReplyDeleteclose to undone...in a way of fullness and not without.
ReplyDeleteSweet treasures, indeed.
ReplyDeleteFondly,
Glenda
What a wonderful post!
ReplyDeleteWhen one of my loved ones leads worship, it's almost more than my heart can hold. There have been times that I've had to avert my eyes simply to hold myself together. Other times, I just let the thankful tears flow. :)
I love it when rain washes my schedule clean, too!
ReplyDeleteLove your list of blessings, especially the joy having your whole family in church together worshiping and serving God.
ReplyDeleteMy sweet friend ~ I loved reading your post/gratitude list. I'm thrilled to hear about your writing opportunity (I hopped over to the new site ~ awesome!) May God continue to shower you with His blessings and joy!
ReplyDeleteCindy :)
It is such a full feeling to see your family serving God. And then to look at those sweet little ones you are growing in the lord!
ReplyDeleteI love your writing so much! Thanks for all the encouraging words over on our blog.
