i finished reading
the hiding place
tonight
and can't believe
i thought
getting up at 6:00
feeling chilly in my classroom
not finding microsoft office on my computer
having to chastise a son
running out of mini oreos
garage door malfunctioning
reruns on television
boots too expensive
were hardships....

  1. That has always been one of my favorite books. I did a book report on it in school and have loved it ever since. Such a woman of courage, that one.

  2. LOVE that book, and you are so right - often our problems aren't really problems at all in the grand scheme of things.

  3. Agree...love it. Perspective and just amazing the ten Boom's story and just what it will be to sit with her for an eternity and her dear Betsy and marvel at all that has lasted forever:}

  4. Amazing the trials we think we can not endure as those who hunger and suffer in ungodly nations praise God from their lips... though trials are difficult they draw us toward our dear Savior... may you find much sunshine today... thanks for sharing

  8. Incredible book. I visited Dachau in Germany a few years ago, and it was the most sobering, moving experience.
