so only gave it three stars

I'm adding this one to my summer reading list- (and my kids'). Titles on my list? Just started One Month to Live by Kerry and Chris Schook. Still compiling all my summer "want-to-reads".
ReplyDeleteI'll have to add that Escape book to our summer list - I haven't heard of it until now. I just started Freefall to Fly - I love the way she writes, but I haven't read enough of it to recommend it. I'll keep you posted! ;)
ReplyDeleteI reading Richard Rohr's Immortal Diamond right now. Slow read as it is very deep. I underline lots and think it is a book to slowly digest. Probably need a quick read to balance it....
ReplyDeleteThat verse from Acts is my absolute favorite. The first time I read it, I knew God had brought me to Nebraska for a reason: to come back to him.
ReplyDeleteI'm rereading Brennan Manning's "Ragamuffin Gospel" right now - should be required reading for me every couple of years.
Wow -- those sound great. Born Digital is next up for me. Then Flannery O'Connor's Mystery and Manners, then some novel fun, I think...
ReplyDeleteJesus, the One and Only and of course, my CIA thrillers by Vince Flynn. :)
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm reading Jesus the King, by Timothy Keller. (Mixed in with some of my favorite Christian mystery writers, of course!)
ReplyDeleteGOD BLESS!
These sound like wonderful reads, Kendal. Right now, I'm reading Poem Crazy, A Prayer for Owen Meany, The Life of the Body (with the High Calling community), and a couple other books I'm using as references as I write mine. *sigh* I love books.
ReplyDeleteHey friend! I'm reading Passionate Mom by Susan Merrill because I feel like I have sooo much to learn in parenting. Also reading A Confident Heart by Renee Swope because sometimes I want to sit in a corner and suck my thumb out of insecurity. Ha! Okay, not that quite that bad but this has been a great book for me.
