- studied hank's and jack's faces while chris read us a psalm this morning. i thought i would burst. into tears. or open with joy. i really like those guys.
- drew a picture of a worm while i was at a meeting. i named him virgil and gave him a hat and shoes but no arms.
- learned a new word - resorb. please don't laugh at me for not knowing.
- reflected on the day my grandmother died in 1978. i remember wanting to cry because mom was. but i couldn't. i selfishly thought about how she would be home more now. i was 8 years old.
- wrote a letter to my girl. i wish i could revise it. but it's gone. so i'll call her and tell her what i meant to say but didn't.
- listened to friends who are separately afraid of the future.
- didn't get upset with a woman who gave me the once over to see if i weigh enough.
- laughed at/with my siblings via email. i get to see them all on sunday.

ReplyDeleteresorb? what is that? clearly my vocabulary needs some improvement.
ReplyDeletei liked the random snapshots of your day, some trivial, some deeply emotional and yet all carried within the framework of "Be Joyful Always". I am going to have to try that tomorrow when my toddler pitches a fit.
You are fun and so loving, Kendal. And resorb...what the heck is that? Darn, what good is that English degree? Must go google now...
ReplyDeleteOk, Kendal, so I want to see a picture of Virgil. Perhaps a series of haikus detailing his pov. [grin] And I have no idea what resorb means. Thank you, I will now head to google to find out. Glad you found joy in the beautiful everyday. I think this delights God.

ReplyDeleteHave you ever read a Richard Scarry book? That's what I thought of when you talked about Virgil.
ReplyDeleteResorb? Never heard of it. Is this a word I need to know? I've been fine without it so far, but I might be missing out on a cool word. Going to look it up.
Praying joy fills you head to toes today!
Erin
I always doodle during meetings too, in fact if I am in charge of a meeting, play dough is ALWAYS readily available. Who wants to sit in a meeting with bored hands anyways!?!? LOL :)
