in which i show you where i live....

my house (left) and husband's wood shop (right)
it's one of those mornings
that my mind is whirring
can't settle on anything
just chattered to my husband
(not with, because that
would indicate he had
a chance to speak)
for 14 minutes
and covered 22 topics
left unchecked
i would spin for the day
so...i will
make a schedule
make a list
and start with
my thankfuls.

my father-in-law's place (left) and my house (right)
the sun is hitting the ridges....
do you have days like this?

for these i am thankful:

76. home
77. forest
78. aerial photos of
      home and forest
      thanks, cam!
79. my girl,
      the one i mentor,
      is making progress.
      small steps.
      but steps.
80. my husband. he was
      my preacher yesterday.
      and i am proud.
81. cam, my brother, and his wife
they live and love and serve
      and haven't let grief consume
82. god's word which is living and active!
83. baseball
84. soccer

  9. So, you now know that I will be coming to visit you? That is one amazing place to live, sweet girl.

My favorite thankful is the one about your husband. It's so fun to be proud of the one we love best on this earth.

  10. Great pictures! How wonderful to be "away" from the busyness of a city. Love your list, as always. And I'm so excited to hear your girl is doing well. That's wonderful news!
Oh yeah, Vick's Vaporub and me got to be very good friends this last week. Hope you're feeling better :)

  11. It's funny. Yesterday I was spinning too. Today I'm more settled. Hope you are too.

First off, wow! Love the pictures. Not so many neighbors, huh?

Second, I forgot all about Vick's until a week ago. Then I proceeded to coat my two-year-old in it. Good stuff, but I think she still smells!

  15. I saw these on your facebook, but don't think I knew they were of your house...

I love where you live and you and your husband's marriage...what I can see;) I feel like we connect so much, starting with being twins:) you know, have to say that first;) but yours and his heart for young people...resilient close families and just clinging to Him with all you've got...

    you are a blessing!

  16. Wow - what an amazing location to live in? Given my Australian heritage though, I have to ask - are bush fires a risk your way?

Thanks for your comments regarding the current crisis here in New Zealand, and please pass on a big hi to your students for me. Maybe they could consider getting in touch with a school down in Christchurch and sending an email of support as I know that the entire population down there has been traumatised by the thousands of shocks they've experienced over the past few months.

    Appreciate your friendship! x

  17. Wow! Those photos are amazing! Um, is there, by chance, a Target or a Trader Joe's or a Starbuck's nearby? I mean, a girl can live without those things, I know. I'm just curious...
