  5. Hmm, the smell of dirt, I like that one. I'll have to think about that when our snow melts. :)

  6. Yes, grateful for the smell of dirt -- we did a lot of "dirt smelling" as we prepared our garden for planting this weekend. Spring has sprung...and flowers for your girls will soon be in bloom.

    Love you, Kendal.

  10. I love the smell of dirt, too! It just is so inviting, and makes you want to see things grow. I miss maple trees. We don't see too many here in Florida and they are not like the good old maples from up north. Sounds like spring is finally coming for you, right? Thanks for posting your list today. It's always good to read it. And that girl of yours???? Sounds like the best gift of all!

  18. Just getting to know you and your site. Love poetry, wish more people would write this way. Very lovely, the repetition and slow emergence of the little girl "who will make it". Beautiful in simplicity. Thanks!

  19. At first I thought your #119 was "sneakers" and it made me smile. Either way - sneakers or seekers - I'm with you on that one!
