a sister

writing for five minutes on rest

faith and prayer
have a sister
i didn't know...
this week
i have worried
i have fretted
i have talked
but
never once did i
considering resting
not napping
not lazing
resting
in the belief that
god
is
big enough
for the worries
faith and prayer
have a sister
and
she
is

  1. I think, at times, we all guilty of this..."I have worried
    i have fretted
i have talked" Why is it so hard for us to simply rest and let Him take care of things. Nice reminder.

  5. I love this, Kendal. He's been telling me to rest today and I keep saying "I'll do just one more thing first" and I haven't listened yet. But I'd better listen now, right!?

    Thank you!

  10. You are so right. It's very important to take time to rest, to spend time with the Lord, and let Him replenish our energy.

  11. I have learned so much about rest the past year. True, deep rest is about so much more than napping or being lazy, isn't it? Love your words!

  15. faith and prayer have a sister named rest...

that is so profound, and I think a mixed media piece!

Sabbath rest is a theme that all Christians have a calling to learn...and I keep seeing this theme over and over this week! And He is speaking it into me continually!
