counting one to one-thousand....
i'm at my sister's house
in the city
and
we have the same dishtowels
because we have the same mother
but
carol has a
hedgehog-that-runs-all-night
and
a daughter-who-is-thirteen
and
a snaggle-tooth-kinder-boy
i'm at my sister's house
comfy
and
relaxed

ReplyDeleteIt's the little familiarities and comforts of family that I love most about Christmas. Gorgeous post!
I need to know more about the hedgehog...he deserves a whole post.
ReplyDeleteI second that motion for a post on hedgehogs (and yes I think that was baptist policy terminology - ha!) because Mitchell, our eleven year old, has wanted one forever. I don't know though, I'm not sure I need to hear much more though than "runs all night" to sway my thinking on the need for a spiky furball in our household.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing during this season to spend it with your sister and her family. Blessings to you.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cutie! How lovely to spend time with your sister.
