could this be the why of winter bare?
to remind us of
loss
and
redemption?
what are your thoughts on bare?

I had never thought of it that way before...but the seasonal changes do serve as a reminder of lose and redemption, and the faithfulness of God's love - that no matter how cold, snowy, icy the winters are, there will always be a spring :)
ReplyDeleteLove this. It reminds me of Seasons by Nicole Nordeman.
ReplyDeleteKendal ~ you've made me think and redeemed a bit of this winter gray ...

ReplyDeleteLove this poem.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts on bare? Well, there is the terrifying, and yet so freeing feeling of being completely transparent with God. He lays bare every part of me - not always a fun experience, but pruning always gives way to more fruit.
GOD BLESS!
loss and redemption--this always gets me somewhere in the gut, how He trades my utter neediness and scraping mess for the fullness of Him.
ReplyDeletelove the lens through which you filter meaning in your days. beautiful, kendal.
