on leaflessness

a brother pic....
sometimes there's
trees-in-february
bare -
cold and cheerless
waiting for green
but
what about the
adam-and-eve
bare -
creator and created
in perfect relationship
could this be the why of winter bare?
to remind us of
loss
and
redemption?

what are your thoughts on bare?

  1. I had never thought of it that way before...but the seasonal changes do serve as a reminder of lose and redemption, and the faithfulness of God's love - that no matter how cold, snowy, icy the winters are, there will always be a spring :)

  8. Love this poem.

My thoughts on bare? Well, there is the terrifying, and yet so freeing feeling of being completely transparent with God. He lays bare every part of me - not always a fun experience, but pruning always gives way to more fruit.

    GOD BLESS!

  9. loss and redemption--this always gets me somewhere in the gut, how He trades my utter neediness and scraping mess for the fullness of Him.

love the lens through which you filter meaning in your days. beautiful, kendal.
