word from the word - forever

the afternoon found me
under dogwood
hanging clothes on the line
in a cool spring breeze
and
meditating on word
every day i will...praise you forever
not
every day i will praise you until....
i can't get the string opener to work on the cat food
jack leaves his baseball cleats at home
hank needs gas
i'm triple-booked during my planning period
a loved one receives a grim prognosis
the money isn't enough for the month....
no,
i will praise the lord for the forever of
each
day
and
for all my forevers
amen

what word from the word has stuck with you this week?

  1. For me...how Joseph choose faith and hope in God over being bitter about captivity, false accusations and imprisonment. Right there with you trying to learn the discipline of choosing joy over choosing to grumble. Not easy when you feel stretched thin...

  2. Hi,
Glad to find another Gift Counter. Choose JOY - each moment - find something to be grateful for - it will change you forever.
    Blessings,

  3. Dear Kendall
This is the the spirit of true praise. To often people are just like the Israelites in the time of the prophet, Amos.
Our Lord sent a message through Amos that He wasn't listening to their prayers anymore for their hearts were so far away from Him.
    Blessings from Laura's.

  5. I posted something today that struck me on Easter Sunday, and has stuck with me ever since. Jesus rose from the dead, JUST LIKE HE SAID HE WOULD! Because of that, every single promise of His will come true!

    Glorious.

    GOD BLESS!

  6. What is it with those white strings on the cat food bags? I've given up and use the sissors each time.

This week I cannot get that song out of my head--"Lord I need you, oh, I need you. Every hour I need you..." It's been the cry of my heart and I'm holding on to that.

  7. This is so beautiful..."all my forevers." I hate to admit it, but this week the word weary has stuck with me. I find myself saying, "Lord, I'm so weary..." He's been leading me beside still waters and restoring my soul.
