798-803

the weekend was
chicken and dumplings
and
blue sky
and
no headache
and
my parents holding hands beside me
on the blue pew
and
four eggs on the forest floor
and
the shortening days don't feel so
somber
surrounded as i am
and
this eucharisto
thanking god for gifts in the
everyday,
counting them to 1000,
is peace

how about you? what are your thankfuls?

  3. A beautiful list of blessings. Mine include a visit home by my freshman daughter and the sweet love notes she left on our mirrors before she went back to school.
